Every business needs an online presence to not only reach the right audience but to also manage their day-to-day operations. Being an established player in the pest control domain, the company was using a web portal to manage all their processes like managing leads, recording measurements of fumigation areas, creating quotations, managing clients, employees and franchisees since the last 7-8 years.

Due to the disparate nature of multiple systems, the web-based portal was dependent on various modules. In case of failure of any of the modules, their entire portal would stop working as it was built on monolithic applications. Due to this, they were facing a lot of difficulties in managing their processes. Hence, they needed a system that would help them to manage multiple departments efficiently and ensure smooth functioning.

Solution

Softweb Solutions analyzed their company functions thoroughly and suggested building a CMS portal using the latest technologies like Angular, Laravel and MySQL. We built a portal for them using microservices applications. One of the biggest advantages of using microservices is that all modules are created as separate applications.

These applications are loaded in the main container called microservices. The entire project is not dependent upon just one server since all the applications are deployed on different instances. So, for example, if there is any problem in the ‘My Franchisee’ module, the rest of the modules will continue to function without any hindrances.
