Client profile
Our client is a large retail enterprise that provides consumer products across electronics, appliances, fashion, accessories, and personal care categories through physical stores and ecommerce channels. With more than 250 stores across the United States, the company has built a strong retail presence over more than two decades of operations.
The company serves a broad consumer base across major and regional markets throughout the United States. Their product range spans everyday categories alongside higher-consideration segments such as electronics and appliances.
Technical challenges
The client’s supply chain and operations teams relied on disconnected reporting systems and manual inventory processes. Delayed operational updates made it difficult to track inventory movement and coordinate supplier activity across locations. While their systems supported daily operations, limited visibility and manual workflows made it difficult to respond quickly to inventory fluctuations, supplier delays, and changing customer demand.
Demand forecasting gaps
Historical sales and inventory data lacked structured forecasting models, which led to inconsistent stock planning across locations.
Limited operational visibility
Inventory movement, supplier timelines, and order status updates were not available through centralized real-time reporting.
Manual process dependency
Inventory updates, reporting, and supplier coordination relied heavily on manual workflows that increased delays and errors.
Slow inventory response
Teams struggled to reallocate inventory quickly across stores during demand fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.
Our solution
We designed and implemented a centralized Power BI reporting and operational monitoring environment connected with the client’s inventory, supplier, and logistics systems. Initial discovery sessions with operations and warehouse teams defined reporting requirements and shaped the configuration approach across data integration workstreams.

To simplify day-to-day coordination, inventory, supplier, warehouse, and logistics data were brought into a shared reporting environment supported by centralized dashboards and automated workflows. These environments were configured to support inventory tracking, operational reporting, and supply chain monitoring activities across retail locations.
Unified reporting for supply chain visibility
We developed a centralized Power BI dashboard environment that consolidated operational data from inventory systems, supplier records, sales channels, and logistics workflows. Inventory movement, warehouse activity, supplier timelines, and order updates were organized into shared reporting views across procurement and operations workflows.

Connected dashboard environments were structured across supply chain, procurement, and operations workflows to support centralized reporting and inventory tracking activities.
Inventory planning through predictive forecasting
We implemented predictive reporting models using historical sales and operational data to support more accurate inventory planning across retail locations. To improve forecasting reliability across stores and product categories, historical demand patterns, inventory consumption trends, and order movement data were analyzed together within a connected reporting structure.

Forecasting models were configured using these consolidated data inputs to support demand planning across stores and product categories. Reporting structures were organized for inventory forecasting and replenishment workflows across retail operations.
Automated operational workflows and reporting
We introduced automation across inventory reporting, order monitoring, and supply chain tracking workflows to reduce manual coordination efforts. Automated alerts and reporting triggers were configured for inventory thresholds, supplier updates, and operational review activities across reporting workflows.

Connected workflows were implemented for inventory updates, order tracking, and operational reporting processes. Demand planning and supply chain monitoring workflows were included within the same automation structure.
Real-time inventory monitoring and reallocation
We integrated inventory and warehouse data into Power BI dashboards to support real-time inventory tracking across warehouses and retail locations. Stock aging, warehouse utilization, and product movement data were connected into centralized reporting views for supply chain monitoring and operational review activities.

Inventory tracking workflows were configured for stock-level monitoring, warehouse activity tracking, and inventory movement reporting. Allocation activities, warehouse monitoring, and supply chain coordination workflows were aligned within centralized reporting views.
Operational coordination through vendor performance monitoring
We integrated supplier operational data into Power BI dashboards through connected procurement, fulfillment, and order tracking data sources used across supply chain workflows. Delivery timelines, order fulfillment activity, and operational consistency metrics were structured into centralized reporting views across procurement and operations workflows.

Centralized dashboard views were organized to support supplier monitoring, procurement reporting, and vendor performance tracking across supply chain workflows. Monitoring dashboards were configured for fulfillment tracking, operational review processes, and supplier coordination workflows.
