Client profile
Emkay is one of North America’s established providers of fleet leasing and fleet management services. Since its founding in 1946, the company has supported organizations with vehicle leasing, maintenance management, fuel programs, accident handling, safety services, and compliance operations.
Through its service portfolio, Emkay manages large fleets for enterprises that rely on vehicles for daily business operations. These vehicles move through a full lifecycle that includes deployment, maintenance, and eventual resale through auction networks. Managing this lifecycle efficiently requires accurate vehicle information, clear maintenance visibility, and dependable coordination between fleet teams, drivers, and auction partners.

Technical challenges
Emkay manages large volumes of vehicles operating across multiple locations while also coordinating vehicle resale through auction networks. When fleet activity increased across regions, operational teams needed faster access to vehicle information, maintenance history, and location data.
However, existing processes made it difficult to retrieve vehicle details quickly or maintain consistent visibility across the fleet. The primary technical challenges included the following.
Limited fleet visibility
Operational teams had no reliable way to monitor vehicle locations or track fleet movement in real time across operating regions.
Inefficient vehicle routing
Drivers and fleet coordinators lacked integrated navigation guidance, which often resulted in inefficient routes and longer trip completion times.
Auction search limitations
Users often needed a VIN to locate vehicles in auctions, making vehicle discovery slower and less convenient.
Fragmented vehicle information
Vehicle maintenance history and operational data were not easily accessible through a single unified interface.
Our solution
We designed and developed a mobility solution that combined fleet visibility, vehicle information access, and auction discovery into a unified mobile application. During implementation, we integrated real-time mapping capabilities, structured vehicle information dashboards, and created search workflows that allowed users to locate vehicles either by VIN or through auction listings.

The application provides drivers, operational teams, and auction participants faster access to vehicle information and maintenance records. With centralized mobile access, fleet visibility improved, auction discovery became more structured, and vehicle lifecycle information could be retrieved without manual coordination.
Driver-focused mobile dashboard for vehicle visibility
Drivers and supervisors can quickly access important vehicle information through the mobile dashboard, including mileage records, operational status, and maintenance details. The interface organizes this information in a structured layout that supports quick lookup during routine fleet activities.
Users can review vehicle data, record mileage updates, and reach assistance resources without moving between multiple systems. A single dashboard view reduces operational friction and improves fleet awareness for both drivers and coordinating teams.
Integrated mapping for live vehicle location and routing
The application integrates Google Maps to display real-time vehicle locations and provide navigation guidance. Fleet coordinators can identify vehicle positions and guide drivers toward service locations when maintenance or operational support is required.
Real-time mapping improves coordination between drivers and fleet teams. With clearer location visibility and navigation support, routing decisions become more reliable and operational delays are reduced.
Vehicle discovery through VIN or auction search
The platform includes an Emkay Select module that enables users to search for fleet vehicles entering auction channels. Users can locate vehicles by entering a VIN or by selecting an auction location when VIN details are not available.
Once a vehicle is identified, the application provides access to its maintenance history. Access to maintenance history helps auction participants better understand vehicle condition before making purchase decisions.
Centralized vehicle service history for resale transparency
Vehicles that were managed under Emkay’s maintenance program carry detailed service records. The application allows users to access this history instantly with a VIN lookup or through auction search results.
Access to maintenance history improves buyer confidence and supports more informed vehicle purchasing decisions. It also strengthens transparency in the resale process for fleet vehicles moving through auction channels.
