Real Estate - Content Management System
BACKGROUND
Our client is a FORTUNE 200 company and one of the premier, realtors/property developers in United States. With a nationwide presence in more than 54 markets across the US, they have been designing & developing new homes of the highest quality and architectural excellence for over 50 years.
CHALLENGE
Content management systems allow businesses to manage and update their website in an easy, cost effective manner. Considering their wide geographical presence, extensive reach and the need to cater to a wide and ever booming real estate industry, our client approached us for creating a highly customized solution that could help them increase sales and improve customer communication.
SOLUTION
After analyzing the needs of our client we recommended a web-based application that would provide next generation content management capabilities. We developed a dependable, technically sound content management system powered with cutting edge technology so as to make the whole portal seamless and easier to maintain at the backend. This provided a modular, content management application frame work that made it possible for the client to respond and adapt quickly to the changing real estate market scenario.
TECHNOLOGIES
We have used N-Tier technology using ASP.NET/ MS SQL platform. C# was used as programming language.
A majority of the front-end uses SSI pages with the extensive use of JavaScript. Interactive features are developed using JavaScript.
RESULTS
The client staff now has the ability to create and modify new sections and pages of their website quickly and easily. They can even upload files and images for use on the website. In addition, even without a great deal of technical knowledge, end users can
- Add photos, technical spec sheets to the website for easy customer access.
- Create pages and update them on a regular basis.
- Manage keywords to improve traffic from Search Engines.
- Monitor website traffic and make appropriate changes.
- Easily access information.
The client website now allows multiple users to add to the website which means that the workload can be shared. Also, since multiple users can add information, there is a substantial reduction in costs.
Finally, there has been an exceptional increase in number of visitors to the website.
