BACKGROUND
The client is a leading Global Transportation and Logistics Service Provider with offices in North America and abroad. The company has worldwide network capabilities and offers an extensive range of services like ocean and air freight, goods shipping, door-to-door forwarding, etc. that suits its customer's needs.

The client wanted a system that could keep a track or record of all the containers that were being unloaded by it on a particular port.

  CHALLENGE:
It was essential that the system should connect to its database - "Container Tracking System" and provide all the data about any particular container to the user at the port. The tool had to be user friendly and act as the primary point of access to the company's database.
  SOLUTION:
Analyzing the client's requirements, Softweb's team suggested a robust and easy-to-use system to the client. The result was the "Reporting Tool"; which connects with the database at the back end and provides details about any container to the user, at the port. The user gets details like the container id number, its pick up date or deliver date, etc.

The Tool also had search functionality with the help of which; a user can search for any particular container from the database.
  RESULTS:
The "Reporting Tool" developed by Softweb has helped the client maintain a track record of all its containers which makes handling of these containers very easy and well-organized. The Search functionality accelerates the task of searching the details of any container in the database.
