The client wanted us to develop three sections within the Idealchef.com. The first section will allow chefs around the globe to log into their account and manage their content. The second one is specifically for everyday users i.e., home cook and the last one to allow the admin team to manage the content on the site.

There was also a need to provide a comprehensive payment option to the client; so that they can easily manage the payments to be made to their partner chefs. The concept was to deliver a fascinating website for Chefs and foodies; so that chefs can earn revenue from their recipes.

There was a need to come up with a feature; through which, users can be notified about new recipes on their registered email address and they can send their suggestions and feedback on the company’s email address.

We were also expected to add a widget on the website that enables the users to create their own recipe box or favorites.

We worked rigorously and delivered a comprehensive portal which was very helpful to the client. Using popular technologies like PHP and Lamp we delivered a dynamic and interactive website. Now, the chefs and foodies can share different recipes on this platform.

Now, chefs from around the world can register freely on the portal and can upload their instructional cookies videos; thereby becoming partners of the client. They can earn certain percentage of revenue for every upload of the recipe videos done by the users.

They can also create their own profile pages which include biography, work history, city, state and country, and # of video recipes. Whenever, a user clicks on the chef name they are re-directed to the chef’s full profile. After successful registration on the website, users can add their recipe box as well.

The administrator can now manage banner ads by easily attaching certain ads to any page on the site. They can even manage a featured product of the week and chef of the week which allow chefs to link 5 video recipes to the featured product. The administrator will receive an email whenever a new recipe is uploaded on the portal.

We delivered a comprehensive revenue management page which helps the client to pay the chefs on the basis of number of views of their video recipes. It also manages the payments to be made to the chefs very easily.

4) Users can now sort their searches by: Recipe name, cuisine type, chef name, date added, cooking time, thumbnail of the video, dish type, # Of Views, and part of description.
5) With the help of this website, client can generate revenue through advertising and sale of related products through e-commerce activities.
