BACKGROUND

Wayne Ronchetti came up with an idea to launch a children's book application based on a little Chinese girl's adoption story, told by Sophia, which would help users to read the book, listen to the audio of the written text, and view its video. He wanted us to develop this application for iPhone and iPad users and to create a visually appealing application that would enable users to integrate a self-playing audio feature while viewing the video. He also wanted the user to be able to easily skip through an entire chapter and select the one that he wanted to read.

 
CHALLENGE:

The challenge for us was to develop a visually appealing application that would attract users and make them want more information. This application required extensive animation work which was difficult to integrate considering the fact that we had to develop the application compatible with iPhone and iPad devices.


SOLUTIONS:

After thoroughly studying our client's requirements, we created a lovable children's book application that can be enjoyed by kids of all ages as well as their parents. It is a wonderfully illustrated book with self-playing audio features. Users can open the splash screen in the application to view a summary of the application and the logo. Users can also search for their favorite chapters by skipping through and selecting chapters they want to read. The video playing options allow children to use options like: Video Reverse/Forward, Play, Pause, and Stop. The moment a new chapter opens, there is some kind of special effect, like fading, to make the book interesting for the child to read. All images, audio and video, have been embedded in the application, so there is no audio/video streaming. The hard copy of the book is available on.


RESULTS:

  • The application tells a wonderful story illustrated with marvelous animation.
  • We developed a light-hearted application for children compatible with iPhone and iPad devices.
  • Since all images, audio and video, have been embedded in the application, users will be able to enjoy
    uninterrupted coverage of the video and audio.
